Pamper your skin with the power of nature! This Lavender Body Scrub is a simple blend of natural ingredients that gently exfoliate and nourish your skin. The calming aroma of lavender will leave you feeling relaxed and rejuvenated.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 cup pure cane sugar or mineral salt (Himalayan, sea, or Epsom)*
  • 68 tablespoons oil (olive, avocado, almond, jojoba, grapeseed, etc.)
  • 1 tablespoon dried lavender (food grade)
  • a few drops of lavender essential oil (food grade)

Instructions

Add the sugar to a small-medium jar, at least 8oz. Add the 6 tablespoons of oil and mix well to combine, adding more oil as needed.  Add the dried lavender and lavender essential oil and mix again to combine.

Store scrub in a sealed container to keep out moisture. It can be kept on the shower caddy or in a cabinet. Will last for 1 month.

Notes

*Sugar or salt? When deciding between using sugar or salt, keep these tips in mind. Sugar is a humectant and will not dry your skin; it is also a little less abrasive than salt and can be safe for all skin types. Salt may dehydrate the skin and is not suited for dry or sensitive skin types.

Lavender essential oil: I used this Viva Doria, which is food-grade (edible). You can use or source your preferred brand of oil.

Culinary lavender: You can buy food-grade lavender online, like this Organic Lavender from Amazon. You can also bake with it or use it in soup!
